Dead by Daylight’s asymmetric gameplay consists of one killer while the rest try to escape from the dreadful maps of the game, also known as realms of the entity. Although we know most killers are of supernatural type, each Survivor in Dead by Daylight has unique abilities and skills that make them skillful at escaping the horror.

Yui Kimurais a hardened street racer, able to gain advantages for her and her fellow Survivors in challenging situations. Her personal perks allow her to cover her blood trails, reset dropped Pallets, and assist helpless Survivors.

Zarina Kassir

Zarina Kassir is a documentarian from Lebanon who uses her street smarts and intuition to hide and escape even when facing the greatest dangers. Her selfless nature also makes her a great healer.

Cheryl Mason

Silent Hill’s Cheryl Mason is a young yet veteran survivor and fighter against supernatural horrors. She uses her experience and wits to survive the direst of situations and communicates with teammates for better escapes.

Felix Richter

Felix is an intelligent, determined planner who uses his perks to quickly find out generators, use tools more efficiently and rescue Survivors.

Élodie Rakoto

Rakoto is an occult investigator, which kind of makes her experienced in surviving nightmarish situations. Her perks allow her to interact with objects in a way that gives her great advantages, bait Killers, and help her escape from them.

Yun-Jin Lee

Yun-Jin Lee is a music producer who only looks after herself. A unique character that relies on individual play rather than teamwork. Her abilities are focused on taking advantage of teammates’ mistakes and deaths to greatly boost her abilities. Hence, in turn, aiding in her escape.

Jill Valentine

Jill Valentine has survived countless near-death moments in the Resident Evil universe. Which makes her a veteran Survivor. Her perks allow her to lay traps, cleanse totems faster and provide support to herself as well as her mates.

Leon Scott Kennedy

Another veteran Survivor hailing from Resident Evil. However, he was forced to go beyond his abilities as a first-day rookie cop and turn into a professional zombie killer. Leon uses his perks to withstand damages and injuries, craft and use flashbang on incoming Killers. As well as track objectives.

Mikaela Reid

Mikaela is a mystic focused on supporting her teammates using witchcraft. Her perks are focused on healing teammates, helping them escape, or locating resources. For example, her Clairvoyance allows her to locate generators, chests, etc., within 64 mete radius. She can also use her Shadow Step perk to hide players’ auras and marks from Killers.

The best perk which makes Mikaela Reid a great Survivor is her Circle of Healing which heals players within 28 meters at 50% of their normal healing speed. Hence, it can easily turn the tide of a game.

Jonah Vasquez

Jonah Vasquez was introduced in the Portrait of Murder expansion. He is a highly intelligent person who uses numbers and logical thinking to guide him and his team.

His perks include assisting himself and others, making a good all-around Survivor who is not too hard to play as either. Using these perks, he can increase movement speed but enough to flee for a short time. He can also use a unique Token to fix failed skill checks. The Exponential perk changes Dull or Hex Totems to Boon Totems. This can then increase recovery speed and help recover from dying states.

S-tier survivors are either over-powered or extremely easy to play within almost all cases to evade and escape the killer’s deadly grasps. The odds of losing when one of them is in the team is very low, especially with Felix and Bill.

Most of the Survivors belong in the A-tier because they excel at their field and playstyles. Even though some are more difficult to learn than others, for those that are not really versatile or balanced, their situational perks are still effective to ensure that you and your teammates can escape unharmed. Which in turn makes them strong Survivors.

Quentin, Steve, and others are in the B-tier not because they are useless but because they cannot provide a winning edge more often than not when in a sticky situation. On the other hand, they provide great support when opting for a team play.
